Helping our members in all areas of life

Mainstreet Credit Union offers a number of other services to its members. These services are simply meant to help enhance your benefits as a member of the Credit Union and they are available to you free or at a minimal cost.

Other Services:

With Direct Deposit, electronic payments are made directly into your bank account — there’s no check, and no trip to the credit union. It’s just a predictable way of receiving money, and a more convenient way of benefiting from digital tools and money management apps that can help you budget.

A night depository is a secured drop box on the exterior of the credit union where members can make a deposit. The funds will be available the next business day. Check you account to verify your deposit was made.
Money Order
Money orders offer a reliable, convenient alternative to cash or a check. Use them to pay bills, give a gift, or make a purchase.

Cashier's Check
A cashier's check is a check guaranteed by the credit union, and signed by a cashier. Cashier's checks are treated as guaranteed funds because the credit union, rather than the purchaser, is responsible for paying the amount. They are commonly required for real estate and brokerage transactions.
A Notary Public is an official of integrity appointed by state government — typically by the secretary of state — to serve the public as an impartial witness in performing a variety of official fraud-deterrent acts related to the signing of important documents. Document such as general financial transactions, estates, deeds, and powers-of-attorney.
Early access to paychecks depends on when Mainstreet CU receives the payment file from your employer, which can be up to two days before the scheduled date.

No special enrollment is required for the standard 2-day early deposit; it happens automatically once direct deposit is set up.

Mainstreet Credit Union (aka “Mainstreet”) offers our members a free/no cost account feature called Early Pay for eligible direct deposits to Mainstreet checking/spend accounts or Mainstreet savings accounts up to two business days prior to the scheduled payment.  This feature may allow for incoming electronic direct deposits made through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) available for use up to two business days before the actual scheduled payment date.  Not all direct deposits are eligible for Early Pay.  Early Pay direct deposit availability can vary,  is under the control of the payer, is not guaranteed and may vary from deposit to deposit.  Generally, funds are available on the day the payment file is received, which may be up to two days earlier than the scheduled payment date.  If Mainstreet makes an early direct deposit of funds available will depend on receipt of the payer’s payment instructions on the ACH file and our standard fraud prevention screening. Early Pay is available at Mainstreet’s discretion and may be stopped at any time without advance notice.  Other deposits or credits to an account, such as deposits of funds from person-to-person payment services, checks or mobile deposits, and other online transfers or electronic credits are not eligible. Any direct deposit not posted early will be made available in accordance with the payment instructions.  This feature is automatic for qualifying direct deposits to your account.  Early Pay is not a contractual obligation and does not guarantee future early deposits.  Members are encouraged to verify deposits before using the funds.  This feature is automatic, members cannot opt-out of this feature.

If Mainstreet makes funds available early through Early Pay and the payer subsequently reverses or requests a return of the deposit, or the funds are otherwise uncollected by Mainstreet, Mainstreet may debit the account for the deposited amount that was made available early, which may draw the account negative. The member is responsible for repaying any negative balance on the account and paying any fees related to overdrafts.

Wire transfers are one of the most effective and quickest ways to move money electronically from one person to another for things like closing on a home or sending funds to relatives abroad.
A safe deposit box is a secure container usually made of metal that’s used to store valuables at a credit union. These boxes are kept in vaults and can be rented for an annual fee.
